Case Study
Masdar
The clean energy assignment is under Masdar and has the responsibility of ensuring the UAE is among the most sustainable countries in the world. They have already traveled far, with programs that spread across six continents and providing millions with energy for homes and offices. All four of the main energy entities in the UAE – Mubadala, ADNOC, TAQA, and Sorouh – come together under Masdar to pool competencies and advance knowledge in renewable power and green hydrogen. Together they share a cleaner and greener future in the world.
In its essence, everything at Masdar is about innovation in the use of clean energy. They are in solar, in wind, in energy storage, in waste-to-energy, you name it. Different from them is the fact that they can come up with projects that are unique, organic, profitable as well as sustainable. They have demonstrated over and over again that renewable energy can be exciting while being profitable too. They asked Digital Gravity to create a website that supports their overall essence of work.

About The Project
Save Energy Smartly
Masdar is a global renewable energy market player and the UAE takes a leadership role in the clean energy revolution. They have been commended for their creativity in the development of solar, wind energy, and battery technology as well as energy from waste. So what makes them stand out is that they develop projects that are, at the same time, innovative, commercially viable, and environmentally sustainable. They have demonstrated over and again that clean energy is not just a noble idea but it’s smart business and tool for the future.
Overview
In 2006 the UAE government made what was termed as Masdar Company the focal point of the future of energy. They had the dream to develop further the peripherals of the UAE in the energy sphere and to invest in a new age of the world energy mix that should be more flexible, more secure, and more friendly to the generations to come.
Our Challenges
Challenges we faced while preserving the heritage of Sharjah Institute for Heritage
Authentic Appearance
One of the primary difficulties we encountered was searching for and producing intersecting biases of high aesthetic quality while informing the target audience about the Importance of the clean energy sector without falling into the clichéd tropes.
Translating Complex Concepts
Being able to communicate the broad and complex terms and strategies of a clean energy sector through digital arts and animation was also an issue we encountered during the proposal for website development.
Data Security and Privacy
Another was to ensure that we avoided sharing any implicit information regarding the sector and also had to ensure that the constructed website was according to their policy.
Visual Storytelling
Another challenge was to design Masdar's visual language with the support of relevant visuals that would convey its mission as well as the activities undertaken.
Solutions
Result
We understood the important work that Masdar contributes and created a website that depicted all that they stand for.
